When Phoenix Quinn finds his ex-girlfriend hiding in his boathouse, he's confused. After all, she'd said she was done with him and, difficult as it was, he'd respected her wishes. Now that she's back, can he convince her to stick around long enough to figure out what sent her running in the first place?
When strange men show at Kaylee Kirkpatrick's job asking questions about her, she knows it's time to disappear again. She wonders how much longer she can outrun her family's secrets. Or is it someone else targeting her this time?
The storyline was fantastic. Kaylee and Phoenix are a sweet couple. The danger and drama was so spooky for awhile. I never guessed who it was which is perfect when I read a mystery.
The proofreading was horrible, not as good as the ones before it, but I got through it.
