Texas Made by Eve Gaddy
Texas Made is the third book in the Texas True series by author Eve Gaddy. Of the three books thus far, this one was my least favorite. The writing is great and and the painted picture of the Walker ranch was just perfect. The characters were all likable and the story had a good pace. My only issue was the story itself. There really wasn't much to it. The entire book focused only on the growing relationship between Marshall and Jaclyn and how they could make it work. There wasn't much angst and the story was very predictable. And a bit boring at times. It may sound like I'm complaining and I'm sorry for that. I did enjoy the book overall and am looking forward for the next Walker sibling's story. I was just expecting more of a conflict. I have read so many books by this author and enjoyed them. And I definitely recommend this book if you're looking for a romance with a good pace, talented writing, little to no angst with a simple plot.

This was a wonderful addition to the series. I have adored the prior two stories and was looking forward to Marshall's. I was not disappointed. While this is a part of the Walker siblings series, you really don't have to read the prior ones to fully understand this one. The prior couples do appear several times throughout but this story could stand alone. I would highly recommend reading the prior stories though as they are wonderful stories themselves.
This story was a solid one. I was disappointed to see the ending as it was like saying good-bye to friends. Marshall is a stead-fast and loyal brother who with the help of his younger sister raises paint horses on the family ranch near Whiskey River (I really want to move there!) Jaclyn comes to visit her friend while her home is being renovated. Jaclyn has had a crush on Marshall since she was 19. Marshall liked Jaclyn but at 25, he considered himself too old for the teenager. Now that Jaclyn is older the age difference doesn't seem to matter too much. The only problem, Jaclyn lives in Dallas and she is owner of a successful make-up company Meanwhile Marshall would never leave the ranch. Can these two come together and make a successful union between them while living quite a distance from each other? Or will one decide that love is worth the sacrifice of relocation?
I loved the fact that this was written in a dual POV format. Also the chapters contained both POV so you didn't have to wait to long to read the other person's thoughts.
This is a very sexy read that I could only recommend to someone over the age of 18.
