Good but contradictory
First it says don't text at all, then tells you to text but not too much, it's confusing but also very helpful. I just ignore the "don't text at all" rule because it's a bit outdated.
Rules addendum!
Not only was I able to understand where I went wrong in a relationship (texting late at night, always having the last word) I understood if he was done texting... He was done. No need to send one last "hail mary" text to see if he would respond, he was done!!
I used these rules on someone else as a practice, and I can't keep him away! I've recommended this book, as well as The Rules, to all my girlfriends who are sick of guys treating them casually after they do what they think is right- texting over and over again, not waiting for calls and accepting less than the best.
Playing games doesn’t work
That’s all this book is, a giant game. I wanted a guy I was dating to call me more. He ended up pulling the same stuff on me this book suggested and it was terrible. I felt completely crushed and he ended things with me. I don’t recommend. Learn to ask for what you want and if that scares a man away you’re better off for it, instead of playing games.
