Why can’t turkeys fly

I personally liked the book, and I was wondering how it said the fit turkeys had thanksgiving dinner and the fat turkeys were the thanksgiving dinner. Does that mean the fit turkeys were eating their own kind?

Very funny

My 7 year old read this book and loved it so much he made a book report on it and read it to his little sisters. They cracked up. It was enjoyable to the whole family.
