It brings together historical artifacts and one-of-a-kind documents from the collections of the Library of Congress. There’s no single right answer, only new discoveries to be made.


Today’s Thanksgiving holiday has roots in a number of celebrations that occurred centuries ago in different regions of North America. Official documents, newspapers, photos and drawings offer varied perspectives on a holiday that has taken many forms and been observed in different ways throughout the nation’s history.
