Elizabeth Martin is used to being in control of her life, but lately nothing seems to stop the subtle dissatisfaction that sweeps over her without warning. Plain and simple Elizabeth is at a crossroads in her life.


Widowed unexpectedly nearly a year ago, Elizabeth is slowly emerging from the depths of grief as she starts a new job at a local hospital. Just as she decides her personal life needs a desperate overhaul, she is introduced to Dr. Chad Barnes while lunching in the hospital cafeteria. No matter how hard she tries, Elizabeth cannot ignore the instantaneous connection she feels when she looks into his eyes.
