Different
It so different from the Web Novel, which I fell in love with. That’s aside I believe this book has many words but doesn’t do much with them, I find myself missing the voice of Raphael. The battles, within and without the arena are anti-climactic and frankly boring. The character development is slow and doesn’t seemingly have any meaningful connection to the story, at least so far. I feel the author has been presented with a tall order to expand the world he created and lighten the material, from its original semi-dark tone and serious connection to the core characters. And although, he seems to be delivering on this order the work seems in
genuine, excessive and commercial.
So good!!
It took me only 2 days to finish. Need more volumes ASAP.
Messy
Every light novel reads differently because each author has a different style, but this volume of Slime felt really... ponderous. It was good. Lots of fun and intrigue. I was a little irritated with the amount of slice of life in this volume, but the politicking made up for it to an extent. Still, too much going on like the author talks about in the afterword.
