John wrote to Jewish Christians to give them assurance of eternal life and to emphasise how to distinguish the true from the false, in themselves as well as in others. Therefore 1 John ia letter from which we all can learn.

 

This publication is written in the form of eight studies with questions, exploring the main themes of the letter. Although intended for small Bible study groups, it is equally suitable for private study and devotion.

 

We hope and pray that this publications will be helpful in opening up the message of John’s first letter, so that we, like those first century Jewish Christians, may have assurance of our home in Christ and confidence to go on in Him, learning to look for the good in others and society, but having the confidence to shun the false.
