Va'del should have been returning to a hero's welcome. In saving Jain, he also saved his people from a threat that the entire Guadel Council had been powerless to stop. Instead he once again finds himself caught between rival power blocks as his people teeter on the brink of disaster. A mission to the most likely source of a new set of attacks may result in a solution that will save the only way of life Va'del's ever known; but at what price?
Publisher's Note: Readers new to The Guadel Chronicles should begin with Frozen Prospects (currently free). Thawed Fortunes is followed by Brittle Bonds.

A young writer destined for greatness
If you have never read one of Dean Murray's books, grab one. Any one. After reading your first book, you will be as enthused as I am about this writer!
Of course there are people who do not like a fast paced tense book. If you are one of those, I can promise you you will not like his books so don't even waste your time or energy.
Once again Dean Murray has told a story that you cannot stop reading! I FELT the emotions that characters were feeling. I laughed with them, cried with them, and even got angry with them.
I would recommend this book for anyone who really APPRECIATES a good story.
Keep 'em comin' Dean- and I will surely keep read in' 'em!!
