APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Strap in for a brain-bending thriller where even the twists have twists. Stuart Turton’s debut is part locked-room murder mystery, part lush Roaring Twenties period drama, and part science-fiction adventure. When Aiden Bishop wakes up in the forest outside a sprawling country estate called Blackheath House, he discovers he’s trapped inside a bizarre time loop. Every time he fails to catch the person who murdered heiress Evelyn Hardcastle at that night’s masquerade ball, he wakes up in the same spot in the same forest—and each time, he’s in the body of a different guest. Believe it or not, things only get weirder from there! Aiden’s unusual predicament fills Turton’s story with strange surprises and suspense. This unique mystery is so much fun to get lost in, you may never want to find your way out.

An homage to Agatha Christie + so much more!
If you enjoy Agatha Christie mystery novels, especially the ones set in old, rambling country estates populated by a potentially murderous cast a la “Upstair, Downstairs” archetypes types bearing grudges and job descriptions like The Butler, The Footman or The Valet, you may like this book. There is even a map to the House and estate to further tickle your fancy!
If you are a Reader who is open to new ideas about crime and punishment and possible redemption, you might really, really this book
If you are a Reader who is willing to stretch their mind to ponder the concept of applied tech relative to criminal justice with a splash of time travel and multiple dimensions, you might LOVE this book
Extremely well written with flashes of brilliant writing, this book deserves a 4.5 but alas, no such rating. The book Could be a 5 star book but it was marred by a rather muddy plot towards the end of the book. To carry off a book which includes a plot within a plot, clarity is a must for the Reader
Kudos the author.....a very, very Good book. Please write more!
I’m enjoying the book so far but this is only $6 on Kindle. I try to keep all my ebooks on the same platform, but not for an $11 difference in price.
It felt very long
I felt like it would never end— and not in a good way. Very original though! Took a while to get into it but it was a good read as I stuck with it til the end. I liked the end.
