The Accident was the first book I ever read by Diane Hoh, and I didn’t regret a word of the entire book! This eerie ghost story doesn’t start with a bang; it literally starts with a crash, a car crash! From there, it’s a terrifying nightmare tale about what happens to Megan after she sees a ghost in her full-length mirror on the week of her sixteenth birthday. You just might be looking over your shoulder—and checking the mirrors in your house to make sure they’re completely normal—as you read this spooky, suspenseful story, which builds to a heart-pounding conclusion! It’s late August, but I consider this a perfectly creepy enough Halloween read to give a full 5 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃!
