Fantastic resource on the lives of ancient Egyptians
In keeping with other titles in the ‘for Dummies’ series this is a clearly written comprehensive resource on its topic. It especially distinguishes itself from other introductory books by providing an insight into the lives of everyday ancient Egyptians not just the Pharos and their entourages.
I carry my copy around all the time, putting notes and stick ‘ems all through the book. Highlighting it with wild abandon. I’ve even stuck in maps, tomb layouts, illustrations so my copy is now a treasured personalized companion to my new passion for this subject. Along with my iPad it has a reserved place in my backpack. I will certainly be reading Dr Booth’s other books on Egypt and highly recommend this one to anyone expert or amateur with only a flickering interest in ancient Egypt.
