Publisher Description
"A painter has so much more talent when he's dead" Mark Twain.
The book covers two weeks of the artist Seb Stone’s life where he discovers that a group of Chilean thieves are staking out his studio, is threatened by a very large gentleman called Mr George and finally gets to meet the girl of his dreams. He also discovers that he’s dead.
Seb leads a strange life, even for an artist. His needs are catered for by Geraldine, who brings him his food and takes away finished paintings. She also keeps him stocked up with drugs, prescribed by a psychiatrist who claims to use his paintings as a doorway. Seb’s mind is a confusing place for both him and the psychiatrist, but he’s achieved a steady state, a way of coming to terms with his past. Then a teenage girl, who lives downstairs, decides it’s time to drag him back into the world and find out what’s really going on.
The book is illustrated with many of Seb’s paintings and sketches, and there are links to his website where more will be found, once I’ve got around to putting them up.
