The Ascent

I died at the age of twenty-four. It was May, my favorite month. Flowers were blooming and the desert sky was covered in dusty storms. Naked on the operating table and cut open across my entire abdominal cavity I was leaving this world similarly to how I entered it.Life's moments move too fast sometimes to realize the occurrences we take for granted.
The Ascent chronicles my near-death experience after thirty two days in an ICU unit clinging to life. The people and places that astounded and a gift given which forever changed my perceptions. A trip to what is beyond our comprehension on Earth. This book is dedicated to the young travelers Mark, Megan, Eddie, Annie, Samuel and many others who indefinitely left imprints on my heart.
