"Gentlemen, we have a special treat for you today. Feast your eyes on this pure-blooded beauty!"

Sixteen-year-old Serenity has spent her entire life in hiding to protect her from this exact moment. In a world where beauty is bought and sold on the streets like a corporate commodity, Serenity's natural assets are more like liabilities. Despite her parents' best efforts, she's been taken—ripped from her home and the only life she's ever known—to find herself on sale to the highest bidder. And that bidder? Enigmatic and dangerous, Luc is the director of The Aviary—an elite museum where girls are displayed as living art by day…and cater to the lascivious whims of the highest bidder by night. In this elaborate and competitive world, girls go by names like Raven and Nightingale, and will stop at nothing to become top Bird.

Luc comes to idolize Serenity's purity and aims to turn her into his grandest exhibit of all time—The Swan. In no time, she becomes one of the most coveted exhibits in Aviary history. When she discovers Luc holds the key to finding her parents, she must learn to play The Swan to perfection…to win his heart and earn his trust. But she doesn't anticipate falling for him in the process. Now she faces an impossible choice: escape The Aviary and lose her only chance at finding her parents—or become Luc's Swan for good and lose her identity forever.

incredible

I have never cried more or felt more joy from any other book that I’ve read. From page one, I was drawn into the main character. From there, I put myself in her shoes and became completely obsessed. What impressed me the most, was the fact that I never saw the resolutions coming. Coming from a reader who almost always figures out the ending before it actually happens, I am thoroughly impressed. I wish this story could go on forever. I have found a new favorite series, and I can’t wait to reread them again. Emily Shore, thank you.

READ IT HIGHLY RECOMMEND

thank you to the author! This series paints a very real and thought provoking picture of where society is headed if we don’t begin to actually take action with stopping human sex trafficking. I recently found the uncaged series in the ebook store and decided to read it and it was truly the best decision I have ever made. I’ve finished both the aviary and the garden in 2 days and there are moments that I am reading and just brought to tears. My church has these small groups called “life groups” that meet every week on Monday nights (in quarantine we have been meeting over zoom calls) and I just finished my zoom call with the girls in my life group and I told them about the series and how it has sparked a fire in me to want to find an anti human sex trafficking organization near me to volunteer for and learn from. And I just cannot day thank the author enough for clearly pouring her heart and soul into a book series that this world truly needed to exist. I’ve always had a passion and fire in me when it comes to this issue but this series has truly pushed me out of my apathy structured comfort zone. Thank you thank you thank you 💕

I can appreciate the story but I have issues with execution.

I don’t usually write reviews, but from the start I knew I would write one for this book. I can appreciate that the author has brought such a serious and complicated matter to light for a younger audience; however, the writing and structure complicate the story. The plot, characters, and message are well thought out, but the execution causes the story to read disjointedly.
