The Babbling Brook Naked Poker Club - Book One
Publisher Description
A morose parrot with a reputation for biting perches in a small cage in the lobby of Brookside Retirement Community. For Josephine, a reluctant resident, he sums up the place which friend and handwriting expert, Lill, has dubbed Babbling Brook (in honor of the missing waterway and the more exasperating residents). However, Brookside turns out to be more interesting than Josephine expected, as it becomes the setting for art theft, other dodgy dealings, and…naked poker. Investigating the unusual events, Josephine and Lill befriend Devi Subramanian, a young woman Josephine tries to prevent from making the same mistakes she has made.

Wow! What a GREAT read!
I can tell you that Ann Warner is a fabulous writer and I found only one slight grammatical error. This old English teacher dislikes editors not catching mistakes but this one was very easy to miss.
She has marvelous ability to weave a story that captivates her reader in a maze too difficult to escape. I cannot wait to read another. She is easily as good as John Grisham any day, anytime! She entraps romance in a beautiful manner and her character development is matchless! Keep up the good work!
Good story
Josephine’s husband and son are money grubbing jerks though!
5 Stars
Fascinating depiction of the lives of some of the Brookside residents as they confront and solve problems of life and love. While this book is a real whodunnit, no character had to be murdered to create the mysteries. A delightful twist.
