Great love story.
Insanely Hot
Did I need to add to the already skyrocketing temps of mid summer? Absolutely I did when it came to this hot little read! Oh how I have missed Jessica and her men. I never know whether I should hug them, smack them or both.
When Emily gets roped into going to an auction with her best friend/business partner Brenda she's totally out of her element, and her mind is spinning a mile a minute. Particularly the moment Brenda bids of the man of the evening and places the winning bid. But not in her own name. She places it in Emily's name. When Tyler walks over to greet her and she's basically rendered speechless, her friend is no longer at the table with her she politely explains that this was an error and they can't afford to drop 10k on an evening date with him. He's kind enough to tell the her that he'll take care of that since he knows the head of the charity. End of story? Not by a long shot.
Emily and Brenda have a start up business. Emily, a serious introvert likes to hang out on a web site called travel buddy. There she has a friend named Lucky Luke she's been sharing part of her life with and as the fiasco from he previous night unfolds, she's telling LL all about this. LL really wants to meet Emily but she puts him off. Maintaining that careful distance is important for her.
Meanwhile Brenda gets a request for Emily's services requiring her to fly to Las Vegas to consult with a business about their web presence. You can kind of see where this is going but you have to read the story to really appreciate all the heat, tension and laughs that go on. Meanwhile Emily is still talking to LL about all this new stuff with Tyler and the business. What happens with Tyler and Emily?
What happens when LL and Emily finally do meet and how does that come about? You have to read the book to find out!
What a fun read this book is and I loved it. Glad to see JC back writing.
