The Bamboo Blossom

My story takes place against the backdrop of history, in the years, months and days leading up to the 22nd day of February 1986, when hope, courage and desperation faced down the tanks on Edsa Boulevard and Cory Aquino bravely accepted a burden lovingly handed to her by her people.  It is a time of profound hopelessness and yet of renewed hope that there will finally be justice for this island nation.  It is a time when certainty is a rare quantity especially for one American Foreign Service Officer who is only now learning how to deal with the uncertainty of his own personal life.
