Die hard baseball fans only!
This book is great for the historical aspect of the actual ball used during different periods of baseball. It gives insight to the game that many of us nowadays take for granted and makes you appreciate the numbers players put up during the real dead ball era AND the mound was closer... Unfortunately that's only half the book. The rest is all about the best ways to collect baseballs to the point of obsession that is just sad, and boring to read about. The history of the baseball is a true part of the history of the game and that is what I wanted to read about.... Not about the top ten ball hawkers and everyone who ever gave this guy a ball...
