Publisher Description

For countless years, the hobby of fly fishing has been there. Anglers fished for food in medieval times, but the sport has grown through the years to become a real test of skills. Anyone interested in the fly fishing sport knows that addictive it can be, but in a significant way!

Fly fishing varies markedly from traditional fishing. You use lures and sometimes live bait to carry fish to your line with direct fishing and hook them.

You use a fly while you are fly fishing, which resembles a real insect that the fish naturally feed on. The line is long, and you imitate the fly or insect's action on the surface of the water so that the fish believe a real insect is biting.

In fly-fishing, casting is continuous. You bring the fly out in the water and then draw it back several times so that the fish feels the fly is floating on the water, and then you take off again. You cast your line with regular fishing and then let it rest until the fish bites, and the bobber falls further into the water.

You could catch some fairly massive fish using either method, but you do have the chance to "fight" the fish for survival until you are fly fishing.  It can be extremely satisfying as man battles nature for the top position.

Flies are made of natural materials in fly fishing, while regular fishing utilizes latex and plastic lures made of human-made materials.  Most avid fly fishermen claim that the fish are far more attracted than the human-made ones to the natural bait. It makes fly fishing, and they argue an incredibly fulfilling sport.

At a nearby pond, a lake, or maybe even a reservoir. You can fish almost anywhere. You would want to go where the fish are most abundant while you are fly fishing, which means traveling (perhaps) to streams and rivers where it is known that fish such as trout and walleye live. The difficulty lies in making the fly appear real to the fish under the water through fly fishing.

Perfect holiday getaways are fly fishing in remote areas such as Alaska and Canada. You can schedule a trip to several different places for fly fishing, including Mexico, South America, and even Russia. That can be a fantastic adventure, far more than just the nearby lake or pond fishing.

Chess has been labeled "the sport of kings," but fly fishing is considered the real sport of kings by many ardent fly fishermen. To somehow get good at fly fishing takes experience, finesse, and much patience.  Thousands of anglers couldn't agree more.  When you've been fly fishing once, you'll want to go back over and over and over again.  May the fish bite well for you!
