The fairy tale isn't over…
In the city of Talesend, where stories are history, Nick Beasley is the person to call when things go bump in the night...because he can prove that there's nothing to fear. After all, magic and monsters aren't real.
At least, that's what Nick has been telling people for a long time. But when he's afflicted with a very real curse while on an assignment for the mysterious Lady Cordelia Beaumont, he's forced to drastically re-think his views on magic.
As an ancient evil threatens Talesend, Nick must join forces with Cordelia to save the city from terrifying monsters. But not all stories end in "happily ever after"...and Nick's story has only just begun.

Awesomeness!!
I recently discovered Kyle Schultz’s Afterverse books, and have since become a huge fan. His ideas, characters, and storylines are all very original and constantly keep you guessing as to how it’s all gonna end, despite being reworkings of myths, fairytales, folklore, and classic stories. Not your average “fairytale retelling,” Kyle throws all the characters and prominent plot points from these well-known stories (Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland, The Headless Horseman, Pinocchio, and sooo many more) into a world not so very unlike our own, rumbles then all together, stands them on their heads, then adds his own original characters and lets them run free in a world where all the legends are historical fact. The characters are well-rounded and relatable, the world is wonderfully thought-through and history, politics, and magic is all carefully laid out with extensive world building throughout, and there are enough awesome ships to entertain any fangirl. 😄
Check out these books if you love fantasy with a spin!! And don’t forget that there are several spin-offs to the Beaumont and Beasley stories, available on Amazon. You really don’t wanna miss the Crockett and Crane and Blackfire stories!! Secrets are looked at a little deeper, and histories of important characters in Beaumont and Beasley are revealed!
Thank you, Mr. Shultz, for giving me a new favorite fandom!! 😁
