Publisher Description
The Belize Breeze documents some of my efforts to grow heirloom and "local" indigenous food plants in Belize over the past four years. One of my goals is to rehabilitate "ancient future" food plants like amaranth and Aztec spinach to be used as fresh greens, which are hard to impossible to come by in the tropics (or the desert). I wanted to demonstrate that it is possible to achieve proper nutrition with little or no money.
This document is a prototype for a "How-To" eBook that could be distributed for free in impoverished communities around the world. It would contain pictorials and videos for rainwater utilization, solar cooking and food drying, compost/mulch making, and saving local heirloom seeds.

The Belize Breeze / La Brisa De Belize
This book was created to give insights into growing food in places where healthful food is not plentiful, in this case, Belize. The photography is lovely, showcasing the interesting local flora and fauna. It is evident that the author had much pluck in undertaking the subject of the book, including twice re-planting his garden due to various adversarial conditions. The food he grew looks beautiful. Kudos to the author for his dedication in trying to bring healthy, homegrown food to remote corners of the world!
