Incredibly well done! Action packed.
Amazing real life and death situations vividly described and plenty of personal anecdotes. Loaded with details on the members of the Black Sheep Squadron. A great precursor book to read before this would be “52 Days on Starvation Island” by John Bruning. It details the Marine aviators on Guadalcanal like Marion Carl and John L. Smith. Their earlier action on Guadalcanal laid the foundation for the Black Sheep.
