Publisher Description
The snow kept falling, and Biscuit Corner was mostly tucked in for the evening. Silent, and dark, save for the headlights of a few cars picking their way along the winter streets. At Allie's, the kitchen lights were on and the old blue house, with the square of light shining across the porch onto the newly-white garden, looked like some poor lost cowboy's dream of home. But the boys, James and Tiger, are missing in the remote Strawberry Wilderness. A search has been mounted by law enforcement agencies, as well as by Biscuit Corner residents and the boys' father from Portland. When James' red sports car is discovered at the bottom of a watering pond behind a weir on the Little No Name, it seems clear that the boys mean to stay in Oregon. A reward by a victim's rights organization brings bounty hunters into the mix and intensifies the efforts of local searchers to find the boys in time.
A story told by Jane Viehl.
