Was Sales The Only Writer Free?
My fascination with this story after seeing Sofia Coppola’s movie was strong. It was also my first time reading a Sales novel. She does a fine job of covering the crimes and the principals involved, even referring to outside research to try to find answers. She has a curious almost fixation on particular aspects that don’t really add to the overall story. I hope Audrina Partridge wasn’t offended by how often Sales told readers who she was. Also if you start a drinking game for every time she brings up a girl’s midriff, you won’t be 60 pages in before you get a good buzz going. I feel like this could have been handled better with a different writer, and my consolation to Audrina Partridge.
