The Blockade Protocol

In the volatile, live-wire waters of the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S. military deploys ARES: the most sophisticated autonomous weapons ecosystem ever created. Designed by brilliant systems architect Dr. Lena Vasquez, the fleet of four hundred AI-driven drones operates with flawless precision. Until 0347 on a quiet Tuesday morning.

Deep within a remote command centre on the island atoll of Diego Garcia, Lena spots a statistical irregularity—a microscopic latency spike in a single unit's telemetry data. It is a discrepancy so small it falls entirely below automated alert thresholds. Yet hours later, that same compromised unit flags a probable underwater mine directly in the transit lane of an American guided-missile destroyer.

What follows is an extraordinary, high-stakes military thriller tracking a multi-layered cyber and hardware exploit engineered by a sophisticated state adversary. Plunged into a time-compressed 48-hour countdown, Lena must unravel a corrupted defence supply chain, expose an insider threat, and outmanoeuvre an enemy that uses the American military's own rigid protocols as bait. Blending cutting-edge techno-forensics with gripping geopolitical tension, this narrative exposes the fragile boundary between algorithmic speed and the irreplaceable weight of human judgment.
