THE BOOK OF JAH
Publisher Description
Schizophrenia is a dis-ease, a disorder in the brain which affects about 1% of the world's population, about 3.2 million in the US alone. It affects males and females at about the same rate, and all ethnic groups are subject to its occurrence. Symptoms include hallucinations and delusions, voices in the head, often interpreted as God speaking. Men tend to experience the symptoms a bit earlier than women, between the ages of 16-30. In the case of the subject of this book, the writings describing his childhood and journey are all his words written over many decades. The word play and paintings are a collection of only some of what survived over the years. Although all the words and artwork were created by John, the book has been enhanced with numerous animations and a supplements of other artwork to entertain the reader to better appreciate the schizophrenic mind, added with his consent.
