Alexandre Dumas (1802-1870) was a French writer best known for his historical novels of high adventure which have made him one of the most widely read French authors in the world. Many of his novels, including The Count of Monte Cristo, The Three Musketeers, Twenty Years After, and The Vicomte de Bragelonne were originally serialized, and he also wrote plays and magazine articles and was a prolific correspondent.
Dumas’ works have become so popular around the world that people are instantly familiar with the Musketeers’ “All for One and One for All” Motto, the revenge of Dantes, and the Man in the Iron Mask.
Over the course of 2 years, Dumas wrote a compilation called "Celebrated Crimes", discussing some of Europe's most notorious criminals and crimes. One of the chapters focused on the Borgia family, which included some Popes during the Renaissance and has become notorious for using crimes to wield power in Rome.
This edition of Dumas’ The Borgias is specially formatted with a Table of Contents and is illustrated with pictures of Dumas.
