The Box by Dean Wheatcroft
I really liked this standalone book. It was very intriguing and had a lot of twist and turns the protagonist detective chief inspector, Thurstan Baddeley and his wife Lizzie are very interesting as they are both in law enforcement. I want check out other books by Dean Wheatcroft.
