charming
Kendall delivers as usual. Not your typical Best friend’s little sister/brother’s best friend taboo story. Throw in a nosy grandma, sex toy shop and you have a great story filled with a HEA, no cliffhanger and a lot quirkiness and cute laughs. Definitely enjoyed it!
Entertaining but a lot of discrepancies
The book was perfectly entertaining for my long flight. I just hated the discrepancies…Maren was vegan/vegetarian…there was an entire page dedicated to Hayes going out of his way to make her a mushroom burger while everyone else ate his steaks and burgers and then Hayes takes her out for a steak dinner chapters later and she eats it? Weird. There’s a chapter where they get ice cream. Maren getting a single scoop of chocolate espresso ice cream in a cone and then a page later it’s now twisted soft serve? If you make a point to give them a character trait or extensively describe something, stick to it. That’s bad writing. Makes me wonder if AI was used.
Fun read
This was a great book. 100/10 recommend
