Humor with Pinch of Drama
Another one-click winner! Ms. Monroe knows how to add the right amount of humor with a pinch of drama. Her characters are realistic and her storytelling makes each book a page turner that must be read to completion as soon as you start it. A recommended read.
The love and laugh series
I’ve loved all of Ms Monroes books and haven’t been disappointed yet! I read each series from first to last and am looking forward to her next series! Thank you Lila Monroe for giving us books about love that makes us laugh at the same time! Keep it up please!
Distracting Mistakes
I wanted to rate this book 4 stars because the story is pretty good, but the glaring writing mistakes were difficult to ignore. A supporting character’s name switches from Selena to Serena, and back again, several times throughout the first half of the book. At some point in chapter 8, the author calls a character by the name of another, “Selena and Wes” instead of “Selena and Ryder.” The main character is described as having blonde hair, then dark hair, then blonde, then dark again.
There’s also a significant lack of character description that you usually find in a romance novel. What color are the eyes and hair of the love interest, or even the main character? I couldn't tell you.
