The Brink of Extinction
This book wasn't at all what I was expecting. I thought I was reading some apocalyptic thriller in an obscure location. I won't spoil it for anyone, but the path the author takes you down is very unexpected and I loved it. The characters were vast and I felt myself torn on who to root for. I found myself laughing at some, loathing a few, and I hate to admit it, but crying for others. I really recommend this book. It's fast and you have to pay attention.

I was unsure about this book at the start. Many characters to follow and storylines that seemed far away from each other. After a short while things began to come together and it was well worth the investment. I'm not too interested in science fiction, and I was expecting a thriller when I purchased. When the science began to come together I felt like I was learning rather than just excepting what I was being fed. I liked that a lot.
I can see this as a big hit depending on whether the author can make this thing bigger and or keep people interested in these characters. I hope I don't have to wait too long for a sequel.

A very good read. It kept me entertained from start to finish. The cast of characters were intriguing and well described. I'm definitely looking forward to the sequel.
