Love Finds a Way
Nona loves her granddaughters and has helped them in so many ways. Now they have a chance to give back. Nona has reconnected with Luigi. He was her first love. Now they have reconnected on Facebook and she wants to go to Sicily to be with him. Her granddaughters decide to raise the money for her trip. They come up with the idea to have each of them be photographed in a wedding gown. It's perfect! There are twelve women and twelve months. I loved Calendar Brides. The storyline is entertaining and innovative. I got a glimpse into each of their love lives. As an added bonus there was Nona's love story as the centerpiece. All the characters are well written.Each has their own distinct personality. I was charmed by these vignettes. All the stories fit together perfectly to create a feel good romance that left me smiling. Ginny Baird wrote witty and romantic dialogue that added to the mood. I was rooting for them to succeed. Nona deserved to be happy. It's so nice to see an older person who is living life to the fullest. I couldn't put this book down. It satisfied my soul.

There are twelve stories woven around the twelve D’Amato
granddaughters. The main plot of the book resolves around
Grandma ( Nona) D’Amato. Each story becomes incorporated
into one smooth tale tottering back and forth between the past
and present.
The author describes the dynamics between various characters
with such real life descriptions that the reader feels like they are
right there observing each scene.

A Heartwarming Romance
What a wonderful heart warming romance of twelve granddaughters trying to earn money by selling calendars of their own love stories, to send their Nonna back to Italy for her first love. Each chapter was a story of the granddaughter's true love or hopeful for. This book makes you believe in true love. I highly recommend for a sweet romance. I received this book from the author for an honest review.
