The Camel and the Needle

A wealthy young man approached Jesus one day and asked what he must do to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus told him to sell all of his possessions, give the money to the poor and follow Him. The young man went away distressed because he had great wealth. Jesus then commented to His discciples that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God. This passage has troubled scholars for millenia with the obvious questions - Am I rich? Do I want to be rich? Should I strive to be poor? This book looks at those issues and more as we exam what it is like to live in a modern wealthy society and still be followers of Christ.
