Publisher Description
Is there credible evidence that Jesus of Nazareth really is the Son of God? Retracing his own spiritual journey from atheism to faith, Lee Strobel, former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune, cross-examines a dozen experts with doctorates from schools like Cambridge, Princeton, and Brandies who are recognized authorities in their fields. Strobel challenges them with questions like How reliable is the New Testament? Does evidence exist for Jesus outside the Bible? Is there any reason to believe the resurrection was an actual event? Strobel's tough, point-blank questions make this remarkable book read like a captivating, fast-paced novel. But it's not fiction. It's a riveting quest for the truth about history's most compelling figure. What will your verdict be in The Case for Christ?

Outstanding Book
The painstaking process taken by Lee to fully examine Christ’s claim to be God if just outstanding. Yes, unbelievers and/or skeptics will benefit from reading this book, but true believers will as well. Many believers have never really questioned Christ’s claim or dug into the factual evidence for the basis of their faith. As a believer I found this book only substantiated what I already believed to be true but it gave me more information to discuss with unbelieving friends or family. It strengthens the ability for a believer to engage in apologetics if they so choose. It also provides a wealth of resources to deepen your faith and learn more about the historical evidence that exists but may not be taught in your church. Going into this book, I had no idea there were so many books written by so many well trained people on this very subject. Yes, Jesus is God and that’s exactly who He claimed to be. The evidence to this effect is overwhelming when thoroughly considered. Funny enough, it’s clear that Lee’s view on this began to change as the book progresses. Though the questions for the experts were still tough throughout I could feel his skepticism waning. Totally understandable!! Lee really dives into some prominent skeptical views and gets answers to long standing questions that most skeptics have posed. He also addressed many common or popular skeptical claims for why Christ wasn’t who He said He was. Some of them are easily addressed with the truth and some require deep research and have complex answers. Fortunately, the experts that Lee interview do a great job addressing even the most difficult questions to answer. Even questions I had as a believer. I found many answers to be overwhelmingly satisfactory and a few that weren’t as overwhelmingly satisfactory as others but still made sense to me. If you’re curious, read this book and decide for yourself. It could be one of the most important books you ever read.
Read It - You Will Be Changed!
Another brick in my growing wall of faith. I’d welcome a conversion experience but this is the closest I’ve come to date. Not a single regret for the time it took.
