This book has many breezy, amusing touches, particularly descriptions of the tenants of Qwilleran's building, mostly connoisseurs, potters and aspiring wits. Although Braun (The Cat Who Ate Danish Modern occasionally verges on the cutesy, she offers here a delightful tale.
