Publisher Description
The Celaran Probe is the seventh book in the PIT series.
Telisa Relachik studied to be a xenoarchaeologist at a time when humans had found alien artifacts but hadn't encountered live aliens. Rather than return to Earth with the modest spoils of the team’s first Celaran expedition, Telisa decides to proceed to another Celaran colony site in an attempt to find living Celarans. New friends and enemies will be discovered beyond the frontier, while big surprises await the PIT team back home.
Customer Reviews
Great book! Great series!
I really like the series and look forward to subsequent books. I've read them also so far. The "sci-fi" is nicely accomplished with some real technical underpinnings.
Great but a cliffhanger!!
Argh!! Better than the last one but how long do we have to wait for the next one???
Crummy cliffhangers!
It was just getting excellent!!!
Sub-Par
This book lacks almost everything I've come to expect from McCloskey. Nothing really New is introduced in this book, just the previous plot arcs played out a little further. It seems rushed and absent-minded with many continuity errors and name mix-ups. When viewed along with the previous book, Celaran Ruins, one gets the feeling that the author has grown bored with the series and has his attentions elsewhere.
