The Chair

A simple chair. What could be so important about a piece of furniture? But that chair represented so much more than a place to sit. No. This chair became the center of our family's universe.
The man that sat in the chair at the head of our was a man of faith, strength and character. Religion, wisdom and culture (and of course good food), pulled our whole family into one cohesive unit.
That chair became larger and more significant the older I got. Now I sit at the head of my table, doing my best to impart on my children what was passed down to me. I only hope that I have learned my lessons well.
