Publisher Description
New York Times bestseller! The first book in a new series from international bestselling author Elle Kennedy!
Everyone says opposites attract. And they must be right, because there’s no logical reason why I’m so drawn to Colin Fitzgerald. I don’t usually go for tattoo-covered, video-gaming, hockey-playing nerd-jocks who think I’m flighty and superficial. His narrow view of me is the first strike against him. It doesn’t help that he’s buddy-buddy with my brother.
And that his best friend has a crush on me.
And that I just moved in with them.
Oh, did I not mention we’re roommates?
I suppose it doesn’t matter. Fitzy has made it clear he’s not interested in me, even though the sparks between us are liable to burn our house down. I’m not the kind of girl who chases after a man, though, and I’m not about to start. I’ve got my hands full dealing with a new school, a sleazy professor, and an uncertain future. So if my sexy brooding roomie wises up and realizes what he’s missing?
He knows where to find me.
*The Chase can be read as a standalone novel.

Very cute
Who doesn’t love an opposites attract moment! This story feels very real with the communication struggles and the character’s frustration.
I love their relationship and banter!
It was good
A good story. Summer and Fitz are cute. My main issue is the pacing is very confusing. The timeline seemed very inconsistent and made certain parts hard to enjoy. Both Summer and Fitz are a little shallow, but I can overlook. Not my favorite in the series, but the writing, word choice, and style made it enjoyable! Ready for The Risk!!!!
Don’t recommend.
A solid 2/5. Characters are shallow. Plot could definitely use some work - it was very slow and lacking. MC is oblivious to everyone else around them, (especially to my boy Hunter) and all their “issues” were honestly childish and could’ve been resolved if they acted like adults . Overall it’s disappointing and not worth the time, but atleast it’s free.
