APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
The seventh book in C.J Archer’s entertaining historical fantasy series blurs the lines between American Western and Victorian-era London. The murder of a suspected card cheat hits too close to home for Matt and India, when the prime suspect is one of their own. This unexpected mix of adventure, mystery, romance and magic is brought to life with an eclectic cast of charming characters and rogues. New readers can begin here, but if you’re anything like us, you’ll want to devour the entire series.

Surprised!
They finally made it to the altar! I thought for sure Lord Coyle would call in his debt and force India to marry Hendry!! Oh well, good story!
Cheaters Game
Great storytelling and can’t wait to read the next book. Love all the Glass and Steele books by C.J. Archer.
The. Cheater’s Game-OK
While this book is well written with twists and turns expected in a mystery, the descriptive writing style was abandoned when it finally gets to the ceremony of the main characters, I was quite disappointed that after having to buy 7 books to get to the ceremony it took basically 2 pages to describe the wedding day.
I’m sorry to say that I’m no longer interested in reading the rest of the series as I assume it will be all investigative mystery with even less romantic content.
