A middle-aged man, a home inspector, stumbles upon a short cipher in southwestern Virginia (USA). As he tries to solve it, the weather conditions worsen. Then there is a medical emergency. Later that evening, the Cherokee barista wonders if it was too much.

Cute but thats it.
It’s shorter than a short story, and he can’t help filling in the gaps for everything instead of leaving parts to the reader’s imagination.
