Only one Chapter
I purchased this text with great expectations that I found a great companion for Civil War unit. However, I am disappointed that the title 'The Civil War' is misleading. My purchase only included the first chapter, the build up to the war. The format is wonderful, I would love to have the entire war to present in this way.
The Civil War by Jacob Gardner
This is a gem of a resource for jr. high and high school teachers and students. As a middle school teacher, I highly recommend this book as an invaluable tool in teaching the Civil War.
Excellent Resource!
This textbook is an awesome resource for me as I continue to gather materials for my classroom. The book does a great job with the lead up to the war AND many of events and battles of the American Civil War are detailed using language that is favorable for the middle school and early high school student. Love the way the book is organized. I want more resources like this!!!!
I can't wait to use this text in with class!!!
