The Clan Of The Cavebear
The first time a read this book I regretted buying it. I didn’t like it because I did not understand it.
But about six months later I decided to read it a second time and this time I not only understood it but I enjoyed it.
In fact I enjoyed it so much that I have read it over a dozen times.
And I would still read it again.

Never too late for discovery ... and pleasure!
During one portion of my career, I heard of the "Clan" and the Hobbits. I was too focused on my work to separate the Hobbits from a brotherhood of rabbits. I placed those books that my family all read with a shelf of children's classics.
One summer, I read The Hobbit and the trilogy in a month. I've now discovered the Clan and I only hope that I laughed and cried at the proper times. It's a moving saga and should be enjoyed by all. It might be confused with a commentary on our current society, but would best be understood as a glimpse at where we came from. If the books should give one pause and consider how we treat each other, so much the better.
