Clone assassin
I keep reading these novels hoping for some kind of an end, but instead I get Friday the 13th part 47. These books are well written but it helps to not look too closely at the reasoning behind whatever is happening. UA ships can flit between galactic arms but the good guys are stuck mostly wherever they are in their old style ships. Why? Because only the UA can refit ships with broadcast engines apparently. Look, it doesn't detract from the good story, but a bit more cohesiveness would turn these into a syfy classic. There are too man holes in these scenarios to make them believable, even for fiction. Also, a major gripe I have is that everyone seems to have the job of the third yeoman in Star Trek, that is to die. Hey, I liked some of these clones that always seem to have the lifespan of a fly. Nevertheless, I'll just keep buying the books...
