The Coast of South East Cornwall

This book includes 36 black-and-white photographs, taken along the coast and estuaries from Gribbin Head to Rame Head in South East Cornwall between 2006 and 2012.


This is a beautiful stretch of coastline, fortunately well served by footpaths both along the coast and down to the coves and beaches where many of these photographs were taken. Photographic possibilities are constantly changing with the light, the twice-daily rise and fall of the tides, our famously variable weather, and with the seasons. 


In these images I have tried to capture the primordial beauty of the area, sometimes gentle but often harsh, with a few people here and there in their rightful, minor and transient place within an enduring natural setting.
