Favorite book!!

This is my favorite book. Period. Laura has such a gift. She gives flesh and bone to her characters and you feel as though they’re living out their lives right in front of you. She takes special care with every historical detail until she weaves a story so gripping you won’t want to put the book down. I love every single one of her novels but “The Colonel’s Lady” is my favorite. ❤️

Laura Frantz made me want to go back in time and live during this time! Yes, they came into hard times and had to deal with so many different things, but to be able to fall in love like that and have such a view on life! Laura did an amazing job with making the reader feel what both Roxanna and Cassius were feeling. I love all the twists and turns they take and how Roxanna deals with everyday tasks and helps out Cassius along the way. I also love the ending and how everything plays out! A great historical book and loved how it draws readers in!
