This book provides entrepreneurial producers and independent artists, in the music business with an arsenal of tools to make smart choices in maintaining healthy creative collaborations. In each chapter, I recommend conducting business based on a series of tasks containing steps and moves pertaining to eight facets of an artist development collaboration: partnership initiation, organization, monetary value, contractual agreements, ethics, networking and resources, commercial assessment, and project contingency. The ultimate purpose of this book is to give producers and artists a blueprint of how to take care of each other while looking out for their own best interest.
