Publisher Description
F. Scott Fitzgerald was a prominent American author during the 1920s, known for his novels such as "The Great Gatsby," "The Beautiful and Damned," and "Tender Is the Night," as well as his numerous short stories. Born in 1896 in St. Paul, Minnesota, Fitzgerald attended Princeton University and began his writing career by penning short stories for various publications. His debut novel, "This Side of Paradise," was published in 1920 and quickly became a sensation, establishing him as a leading voice of his generation.
Fitzgerald's works often centered around the experiences of wealthy young people in the 1920s, exploring themes of disillusionment, love, and the search for meaning in life. Despite his success as a writer, Fitzgerald struggled with alcoholism and financial difficulties throughout his career, which ultimately led to his untimely death in 1940 at the age of 44. Despite these challenges, Fitzgerald left behind a legacy as one of the greatest American writers of the 20th century, whose works continue to captivate readers with their poetic language, vivid imagery, and timeless themes.

Free?! Shocked to Confusion
I've been listening to audiobooks and thought I'd found a good copy of Fitzgerald's "The Beautiful and Damned" being read on a podcast, but for some reason it wasn't playing when I needed it. So I got on iBooks to see if there were other copies. (That's all I was looking for, and in audiobook form). I simply searched for "Fitzgerald" and could not believe what I was seeing here. Ebook copies of Beautiful and Damned by itself, despite its age, are selling on iTunes for at least .99, same goes for all of his novels individually, so I couldn't believe this was legitimate! I thought I'd download it and would have a ten page sample. But no, this is the real deal. EVERYTHING is here-- Fitzgerald's entire collected works, to read on the go, downloaded for absolutely no cost. I was speechless and amazed. Nothing to complain about with the layout so far either-- and even if there was, it's all of Fitzgerald's works for free. How can it not be granted 5 stars?
"You've been through alllllll of F. Scott Fitzgerald's books
You're very well read, it's well known.
(But you know something is happening, but you don't know what it is,
Do you, Mr. Jones?)"
