The Coral Island

When a treacherous storm wrecks the ship of three young boys, they find themselves as the inhabitants of a strange island unknown by all. In an effort to stay alive and well, roles of leadership and teamwork are tested in the struggle to maintain survival. However, this struggle is intensified as a crew of pirates overrun the island and threaten their safety. In an adventure story that inspired William Golding’s Lord of the Flies, R.M. Ballantyne gives us The Coral Island, an adventure still considered today to be a star in this timeless genre.
