Publisher Description
Carina Chapman wants a vacation. Somewhere hot. Somewhere decadent. Somewhere far, far away from her complicated life in New York. Somewhere in Australia appears to be the answer, until Carina discovers her PA has booked her into the wrong resort.
Cowboy Jake Richardson can cook a mean camp-oven roast, track wild horses, breed cattle and knows Australia’s rugged High Country like no other, but he needs to diversify if he wants to keep his land. Tourism seems like the answer, but his housekeeper just quit, the rooms aren’t ready and he doesn’t know a short black from a cappuccino.
Then his first guest arrives.
City slick Carina is smart, classy and disgruntled that her dreamy five-star retreat has been replaced by a rustic homestead beside the Barcoo Creek. Jake has seven days to convince Carina he can deliver all the items on her vacation checklist – including the five-step method to an everlasting relationship…
With him.

A Fun Romance
"The Cowboy" by Margareta Osborn is book one in the "Hot Aussie Heroes" series. This is the story of Carina Chapman and Jake Richardson.
Carina wants to get away on a vacation to where she can relax and get away from her stressful life in New York. She is booked into a resort in Australia or so she thinks. When Carina arrives, she discovers that her assistant has booked her into the wrong resort.
Jake is a cowboy trying to start a rustic type of resort to save his land. He is overwhelmed with all the things that he is trying to get accomplished before his first guest arrives.
Carina who wanted a five-star retreat ends up being Jake's first guest at his rustic not quite ready resort. Neither one is looking for a relationship, but the sparks do fly in more ways than one.
I really enjoyed Carina and Jake's characters. This is a great quick read. The descriptions of the landscape and surroundings made you feel like you were there. Romance, humor, and chemistry make this a great way to escape and refresh from everyday life struggles.
I received a copy of this book from Tule Publishing for an honest review. FYI, contains mature content.
